same same but different
In the summer of 2006, after going to a wedding in Ireland, and running with the bulls at the Festival de San Fermin in Pamplona, Spain, I knew that I had been bitten by the travel bug. I could only think about traveling all day everyday when I returned from my trip. When I started having these thoughts about traveling the world I had a 9-5 job, a mortgage, and I thought I was too old (27) to travel the world. I kept having a reoccurring thought that I could not get out of my head though, I could not stop thinking about how if I would regret not traveling the world when I turned 50 years old? After seeing a special price on a air fare ticket to South America I finally decided to book a one way ticket to Buenos Aires, Argentina! I did not tell my family, friends, or my job for two weeks just to make sure I was really going to go. It was all down hill from there. There was no turning back. I made out a long list of things that I needed to get done before I left that took me a month to accomplish, and I finished all of the things 1 day before my trip.
A couple of things that I took away from my trip is that the World is a beautiful place, and that the people around the world are so friendly and nice! I had NO problems when I traveled the world. Let me repeat that, I had no problems or safety issues in one year of traveling. The world is safe to travel. I went through South America, New Zealand and Australia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America in one year! Don’t think you are ever too old, don’t have enough money, or the world is too dangerous! Book your trip or else you will regret it the rest of your life! It is the best thing I have ever done in my life. You will not return the same person! Please let me know if I can improve my website travelingbug.org in any way!
